I've been terrible at posting lately. Things have been crazy.

Mom has had one round of chemo. She gets her 2nd round next week. She is having lots of the normal chemo related side effects. She already went and bought a wig, because they told her she will probably lose her hair after the 2nd round.

I sold one of my photos at one of my 3 group exhibits so far. I went to the one near my house and only TWO pieces of art were sold out of the whole group. I haven't heard from the other place, will have to contact them soon.

This weekend we have to get rid of a small bees nest in our backyard. I am dreading it because I hate bees. At least it's not a hornet nest.

My husband is still actively looking for a full-time job. He had an interview last week that went really well, but we haven't heard back yet.

I had a breakthrough with one of our strays last night. He actually let me pet him!

His name is Garfield (as far as I know, no relation to Nermal) and he's been hanging around for less than a year. He was the one who kept trying to get it on with Oreo.

He has been coming closer and closer to me when I bring out food. Last night, he got on the porch with me. I think he was under pressure because Tux was standing on the ground and I know they fight. Anywho, he walked right by me so I put my hand out and he walked right under it. He stopped and looked at me, then started to eat.

This has been the only photo that I can get of him and because of my height (or lack of) it was the best I could get his face. He has some scratches on his nose and one of his ears is a little tore up, but overall he's a really cute cat.

The past few weeks have been crazy. My Mom was supposed to start chemo in May but now she won't be starting it until June. They have already warned her that she will lose her hair.

For Mother's Day we went to see her and Dad. We bought her an iPod Shuffle. We figured she would probably be bored while getting chemo and at least she could listen to music. She was surprised. We already threw some music on there and are working on getting more so she has plenty to listen to in June.

My schedule has been crazy lately. I have my last gallery thing at the end of the week and I am done for the month. I don't have anything else planned. I have some projects that I would like to work on but it involves money that we currently don't have.

For my birthday I went and got a point and shoot camera. Something I could just carry with me so I don't have to lug my D80 around. It's a cute little camera. It's a GE A950. It's 9.1 megapixels and has tons of different settings on it. The only thing I am not used to is using the screen to set up shots - I am used to the viewfinder. But it was under $100 and fits in my purse easily. Now I just need to find a cute camera case for it :)
